If you have ever read my blog before then you know that my thought process is completely random. I'm not only random in this blog. Oh, no. My random-ness knows no boundaries. It spills over from my thoughts and into my conversations, goals, concerns, cleaning, cooking, planning, shopping....I have even been known to read two different books at the same time (a few chapters in one, then a few in the other.) Insane. I know.
Well, this time my random thinking has gone too far. My life and home have been taken over by my project ADD. I have such a difficult time sticking to one thing. I'll start sewing something and get frustrated with it and start sewing something else and run out of thread and start crafting something and have to let it dry and start doing some laundry and then the girls will get up so we'll go outside and I'll work on my "thick row of trees" removal project and get tired and grab the shovel and start digging up rocks out of the yard. Why dig rocks up out of the yard? Hmmm....maybe it is because I hit a rock with the lawn mower last week and bent the blades. I had just started cutting the grass, too, so the entire lawn was uneven and looked terrible. Now I have to wait for Mr. Wonderful to go buy new blades and put them on. But how is he supposed to have time to do that as much as he has been working lately? And...Wait a minute, what was I saying???
Oh, yeah. I'm random and have project ADD.
As long as I'm confessing...
Ever heard of Scrabble tile jewelry?
Well, this is my first and possibly last DIY attempt at it.
They turned out like they were supposed to, but they are a pain to try to hold onto if you don't have all the right tools, and honestly, I didn't enjoy it enough to invest in tools.
I still need to add a bail to one of them and don't have a chain to put any of them on.
While waiting on my Scrabble tiles to dry,
I decided to try making some DIY fridge magnets.
They are so cute! Too bad they aren't on my fridge...
I never remember to get magnets when I'm in the store.
This is a super cute reversible bubble that I started last night.
It is a size newborn, not for me,
but for a friend who is having a girl but doesn't really care for the color pink.
I thought this fabric was an adorable alternative to the usual pink and purple you see floating around at baby showers. It will be a miracle if this gets finished in time for her shower...
I did a big sewing no-no and didn't read the entire pattern first.
It requires fusible interfacing. I don't have a clue what that means.
It also has this adorable little loop on the back for a button.
I only bought three buttons.

The three buttons that I spent forever picking out came from JoAnn's.
Paying a visit to JoAnn's doesn't fit on my to-do list for this weekend.
I left my bubble unfinished and started on this.
A ruffled diaper cover for the friend who doesn't like pink.
Addie informed me in the store that the fabrics don't match,
but the yellow fabric has little blue spots on it, so I got it anyway.
But I have a feeling that when Addie sees how precious this is,
she'll want one just like it for all her baby dolls!
Maybe by then I will have the bias tape needed to finish the leg openings.
Once again, I didn't completely read the pattern.
Oh, well. For now I'll just start on making a dress to match the bloomers.
I don't have a 0-3 months pattern for a dress,
but I think I can make a few changes to the bubble pattern and come up with one.
Before I do that, take a look at the progress we've made on our
"thick row of trees" removal project.
Before we started working on this, you could not see those houses at all.
There were thick vines growing from tree to tree and tons of underbrush.
It has taken a lot of work to get it to this point,
and the more we get done, the more I want to do!
One problem though,
Any ideas on what to do with all the stumps?!
Speaking of stumps,
this project came up because Addie tripped over a root sticking up out of the ground from around this stump. (It is out in the yard, not in the "thick row of trees")
I didn't want her to trip again, so I dug up the root.
Then I started thinking that it wasn't very safe to have such a large stump
right next to the swing set, so I decided to dig it up.
This picture was from a while ago and I've gotten a lot more of it uncovered.
Last weekend I felt that I had dug enough,
so I asked Mr. Wonderful to hook his truck to it and let me try to pull it up.
Not gonna work, you say? Yeah, thanks. I know that now.
I feel much better about the whole thing though,
because I mean, look at it...that is so much safer than one little root sticking up!
So much for me and my project ADD. I'm done with my random-ness now.
I'm headed to grab a book and relax and read for a while.
That dress to match the ruffled diaper cover will have to wait ;)
